Short Portable Skills Programs : Fencing, Brick/Block Making, Glass Fitting
Course Objective
The purpose of the skills program is to provide learners with the standards required to satisfy the challenges in meeting the requirements of the above mentioned skills programs.
Target Audience
The range of typical learners include persons wishing to enter the market as an entrepreneur in either fencing, brick or block making, or glass fitting.
Duration
10 Days - Fencing
5 Days - Brick/Block Making
5 Days - Glass Fitting

Minimum of 10 / Maximum of 20
Pre-requisites
Basic understanding of instructions in either English or one of the 11 official languages will be an advantage.
Form of Assessment
Portfolio of Evidence
Formative assessment: Evidence of performance will be collected continuously as Learners progress and will be considered in the final determination of the learners capabilities.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply health & safety to a work area
- The use of hand tools
- Brick Making : Operate a pan concrete mixer; operate a brick making machine; transporting and stacking of bricks; curing of bricks.
- Fencing : Joining methods; boundry fence directions; preparing a terrain; concreting of poles; attaching a boundry fence; fitting of gates
- Glass Fitting : Install/remove different sizes of glass fittings.
